Objective of PM PVTG Mission

The primary goal behind the initiation of the PM Janman Yojana by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to foster the development of citizens within the tribal communities across the nation.

This scheme aims to catalyze positive transformations in the lives of tribal groups, ensuring their overall welfare. Consequently, the scheme will focus on providing essential amenities such as road and telecommunication connectivity, electricity, secure housing, access to clean drinking water, and other facilities to the families belonging to tribal communities.

Additionally, the PM Janman Yojana seeks to address the basic needs of these communities, facilitating their access to education, healthcare, and proper nutrition. The overarching objective is to uplift their quality of life by meeting these fundamental requirements.

Development of these castes will be ensured separately

During the launch of the mission on Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary and the third Tribal Pride Day, PM Modi highlighted the government’s initiation of the PM Tribal Tribal Justice Maha Abhiyan (PM PVTG Yojana) specifically targeting 75 tribal communities with a combined population of lakhs and the identification of primitive tribes residing in over 22,000 villages across India.

These communities are exceptionally marginalized and are at the brink of extinction, numbering in the millions.

Emphasizing a shift in approach, PM Modi underscored the government’s intention to focus on connecting lives rather than merely collecting data. The central government has allocated a substantial budget of Rs 24,000 crore for this initiative.

The government aims to ensure comprehensive development for these tribes through specific schemes such as 100% vaccination drives, initiatives for eradicating diseases like Skilled Cell disease, PMJAY, TB eradication, PM Surakshit Matritva Yojana, PM Matru Vandana Yojana, PM Nutrition, PM Jan Yojana, and more. These efforts are geared toward addressing the holistic needs and welfare of these vulnerable tribal communities.

Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana will bring revolutionary change

Prime Minister Narendra Modi acknowledged the significant contributions of tribal warriors in India’s freedom struggle, highlighting their widespread participation across the nation.

He emphasized that tribal heroes from every corner of the country actively fought against the British Empire, contributing immensely to the country’s pride.

Furthermore, he discussed the Prime Minister Special Vulnerable Tribe Group (PM PVTG) Development Mission, characterizing it as a critical initiative aimed at 75 tribal communities and primitive tribes residing in 18 states and union territories.

These communities are spread across 220 districts and inhabit 22,544 villages, totaling approximately 28 lakhs in population. Often residing in remote and isolated settlements within forests, these tribes face challenges accessing basic amenities and resources.

The PM PVTG Development Mission is envisioned to bring revolutionary changes in their lives, intending to address the critical needs of these marginalized communities and significantly uplift their standards of living.
