Group Registration Guidelines for the Amarnath Yatra 2023

For Yatris intending to participate in the Shri Amarnath Yatra in 2023 in a group of five or more people and are unable to obtain Yatra Permits from the nearest bank branches due to the allotted number of vacancies (registration quota), they can opt for Group Registration. Group Registration Period

The Group Registration process has specific start and end dates, which will be announced by the SASB (Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board).


Maximum Registrations per Group

  • A maximum of 50 registrations per group per day per route will be allowed.
  • Group registration is conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to the availability of date- and route-specific vacancies (registration quota/slots) for a given day and particular route.


Required Documentation

The Group Leader, who must be one of the intended pilgrims in the group, is responsible for submitting the following documentation for each member of the group via registered mail.

  • Authentic copies of Compulsory Health Certificates (CHCs) issued by accredited medical facilities or authorized physicians.
  • Four passport-sized photos for each applicant, with one of them bear the applicant’s signature on the front.
